NEW CENTURY ENERGY CORP FIELD OPERATIONS

Mustangl Creek 3D Area - McMullen County, Texas - Acquision of this newest project area from Manti Resources, Inc. closed in April of 2006. Consists of 20 producing wells with oil and gas leasehold totaling 12,000 gross acres.

About Mustang Creek 3D Area -
  • NCEY through its newly formed wholly-owned subsidiary, Gulf Coast Oil Corporation, acquired these assets from Manti REsources, Inc and its affiliates on April 28, 2006.
  • Assets pruchased include 12,000 gross acres of developed and undeveloped oil and gas leases all located in McMullen County, Texas.
  • A reserve report prepared by independent engineering firm of R.A. Lense and Associates, atributes estimated total proved reserves of 1.2 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE).
  • Current production from the properties is approximately 750 BOE/d net to NCEY working interest from 12 producing wells.
  • Initial assessment has indentified ten (10) potential drilling locations supported by 3D seismic.
  • Current drilling prospects are at depths of 6,000 feet or less in the Upper Wilcox formation.

Wishbone Field - McMullen County, Texas - New Century Energy is excited about it's newest project and has acquired a 15.2 % working interest and 12.214% net revenue interest in the Wishbone Field and the Lindholm-Hanson Gas Unit Wells #1-11.

About Wishbone Field -

  • Current daily gas production is in excess of 5 MCFG per day.
  • Since the Wishbone Field began initial production in March of 2004, cumulate production has been approximately 18 billion cubic feet (BCF) of gas.
  • Well log analysis indicates probable and possible oil and gas production at shallower depths in the Wishbone Field.
  • Potential future production may be achieved in the Slick, 9100´, Hostetter and Tom Lyne sands ranging in a depth from 7,000 feet to 11,000 feet.

Prado Field - Jim Hogg County, Texas - Consists of a gas and oil lease totaling 1280 acres under lease, all HBP. New Century Energy owns and operates the Kennedy Memorial Foundation (KMF) Lease.

About Prado Field:

  • NCEY is the successor in title to the original KMF, JMI, and Sohio leasehold interests on the Prado acreage and we operate 5 producing oil wells.
  • The combined daily production is approximately 35 BOPD with upside potential.
  • Since its discovery in 1956, nine oil reservoirs and seven gas reservoirs, all above 3,800 feet, have produced in the Prado Field. Gas production peaked in 1962 at 7 BCF per year. Oil production also peaked in 1967 at the incredible amount of 2.66 million barrels per year.
  • Prado Field lease includes all of Section 87 in the Hooper & Wade Survey and all of Section 88 in the Emilio Vizcaya Survey from the surface to the base of the Yegua or 5500 feet whichever is less.
  • Geologically, the Prado Field is barrier bar/strandplain combination stratigraphic and structural traps. There is a potential that the Yegua sands that could contain significant reserves. There are potentially un-drilled prospects that could contain combination structural/stratigraphic traps covering in excess of 400 acres. New Century is in negotiations with the Kennedy Memorial Foundation to acquire additional offset acreage and the deeper rights under the existing 1280 acres HBP.
  • New Century is currently using state of the art Absorption Technology to reprocess the 3-D data set that will provide a much clearer subsurface image of the deeper Yegua sands and other gas potential accumulations.

Sarget South Field Area - Matagorda County, Texas - New Century purchased 100% of the working interest in South Sargent Field as of January 2004 when it acquired its interest from Calpine Natural Gas.

About Sargent South Field:
  • Approximately 3,545 acres in size
  • To date, Sargent South Field has produced in excess of 40 billion cubic feet (BCF) from 13 wells with completion in 25 different sands above 6,300 feet.
  • There are presently 5 producing wells with daily production exceeding 2,000 MCF of gas per day.
  • There are proven undeveloped reserves in un-drained areas above 6,500' feet in depth
  • New Century Energy Corp. is currently using new seismic technology called Wavelet Energy Absorption to reprocess the 3-D data set along with traditional proven direct hydrocarbon indicators (DHI) technology
  • Proposed new shallow Miocene sand wells have the potential to carry reserves of 3 BCF each and the deeper Frio prospect can carry up to 20 BCF of reserves based on volumetric calculations
  • Currently re-completing existing wells at Sargent South Field using a cased hole log - GDN & CRR gamma ray, density and neutron log developed by the United Surveys in Richmond, TX to identify bypassed and behind pipe reserves

San Miguel Creek Field - McMullen County, Texas - Consists of 2 leases totaling 240 acres. New Century Energy owns and operates both the 200 acres Herrera Lease and the 40 acre Wheeler #2 Lease.

About San Miguel Creek Field -
  • NCEY is the successor in title to the original ARCO leasehold interests on the Herrera acreage and we operate the Herrera #1 well along with 7 other Wilcox formation-producing wells
  • Since its discovery in 1948, the Herrera lease has produced in excess of 900,000 barrels of oil
  • Geologically, The San Miguel Creek Field is said to be underlain by a deep-seated salt diaper below 14,000'. The upward movement of the deep salt dome has arched and faulted overlying sediments providing for excellent oil traps and accumulations after hydrocarbon migration
  • These fault-bounded traps produce oil when sands are thrown up against shale and with reprocessing, NCEY is confident that additional and bypassed oil accumulations and undrained fault blocks will be discovered

Tenna Field - Wharton County, Texas - Consists of 2 leases totaling 100 acres. New Century Energy owns and operates both the 60 acre Brothers Cattle Company leaseand the 40 acre Hillje Estate Lease.

About Tenna Field:

  • The Hillje sand was discovered in 1991 and has been a very prolific oil and gas producer at a shallow depth of 4,100' feet
  • Between the 2 producing wells, the combined daily production is approximately 55 BOPD with upside potential
  • The Frio sands in this area have long had history of prolific production since its discovery using conventional sub-surface geology and one 2-D seismic line.
  • NCEY intends to acquire approximately 5 square miles of 3-D seismic data over its leases in order to develop new drill sites and attic oil locations
